Brown Publishing Acquires Austin (TX)-based ARG Publishing Company

ARGTMarch 11, 2008 – Brown Publishing Company announced that it is acquiring the assets of Austin (TX)-based ARG Publishing Company from Kevin Evans. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Mr. Evans will remain after the transaction to lead the company.

ARG Publishing Company, started by Evans in 2002, publishes the Austin Relocation Guide, Destination DFW, and several other related publications and websites that serve two of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country. According to Forbes magazines recent list of “Fastest Growing Large Metro Areas,” Austin ranked first, and Dallas – Fort Worth ranked sixth.  Read more...

 

Ocean Drive Media Group Acquired by Niche Media Holdings, LLC

Emmis Publishing Acquires Orange Coast Magazine

Dolan Media Acquires Mississippi Business Journal

VenturePubTMarch 30, 2007 – Dolan Media Company said today that it acquired the assets of Mississippi Business Journal, the state’s leading business publication, from Venture Publications, Inc.

The 28-year-old weekly tabloid newspaper has 7,300 circulation across Mississippi and is based in Jackson. The company also publishes the quarterly Construction Mississippi and a dozen other special publications on technology, law, real estate, small business and health care. The company produces the 24-year-old annual Mississippi Business and Technology Expo and also publishes the annual Mississippi Next: A Guide to Life After High School, distributed statewide to 100,000 high school students in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education.  Read more...

World Publications Acquires Two Home Design Magazines
