Dan Denton buys back Sarasota, Gulfshore Life
April 15, 2010 – Dan Denton, who sold Gulfshore Media to CurtCo Publishing in 2004, has bought back two of his old titles: Sarasota and Gulfshore Life. A CurtCo representative stated that the company is divesting the regional titles to concentrate on their growing title, Robb Report.
Denton formed Gulfshore Media LLC as part of the acquisition, but also has Florida Home Media LLC, which houses his Homebuyer magazines brand in addition to Orlando Home & Leisure. The Homebuyer brand includes Jacksonville, Naples/Fort Myers, Orlando, Tampa Bay, and Sarasota editions. Denton will continue to operate the business out of the Naples and Sarasota headquarters.
